💦 If you don’t have a why
When you lack purpose, your actions lack direction.
You will run on autopilot, grinding through days without a clear sense of why you’re doing what you’re doing. You’ll feel drained, unfulfilled, or stuck in a loop.
Without a deeper purpose driving you, motivation flickers in and out like a weak signal. The more you live without a why, the more muddled you become, the more you’re headed towards nothingness.
What happens when you don’t have a clear purpose?
⛔ You drift
You have no internal compass. You can easily be tricked, fooled and distracted by the shiny objects dangled in front of you. You pass your days following set routines that feel pointless.
⛔ You lack resilience
Challenges hit harder when you don’t see a purpose on the other side. When you’re pulled into different directions, challenges feel overwhelming, and motivation becomes fickle.
⛔ You settle for less
Without a purpose, you’re likely to go through the motions, never reaching for what truly fulfills you. You will accept the set of cards dealt to you. You have a limited mindset. You will think of restrictions instead of possibilities.
💦 Your why is your lifeline
Let’s visualize when you are powered with your why.
Your mind is fired up, you put passion into everything, you’ll face life head-on no matter what. Even on the hardest days with setbacks, challenges, all odds stacked against you, you’ll get up and push on.
Knowing your “why” is like flipping on a power button within yourself, empowering you to keep going. It’s a undepletable source of energy as long as you live.
Those who have a 'why' to live, can bear almost any 'how' - Friedrich Nietzsche
Viktor Frankl expands on this by talking about how purpose can help us endure almost any hardship.
That is how strong your purpose is. It has the power to carry us through the darkest times, giving strength even if you have no hope, no passion, no motivation. It is the power button for your drive.
💦 Find your “why” through intentional self-discovery
To find your “why”, you must be willing to look deep within, even if, and especially if it’s uncomfortable. It’s not always immediate and it’s an ongoing process of diving deep into what truly matters to you.
Start simple, ask yourself focused questions, and open yourself up to your potential. The goal isn’t to find perfection but to connect with purpose.
Action step
1. Self reflection
Look back. Reflect on the moments in your life. The highs and lows.
What are your achievements? How did you achieve them? How did that make you feel?
What about the failures? What went wrong? How did you get over it? Did you get over it? What do you need to get over it?
Journal every day about these thoughts. The highlights of your day. Anything that leaves a deep impression. Anything that evokes your feelings. What excites, angers, or moves you? These are the clues to what we cared deeply about and connects to our purpose.
2. Ask simple, powerful questions
💫 What do I think about all day?
💫 What’s my obsession?
💫 Who do I admire, and why?
💫 What does complete freedom look like?
💫 If money is not a limit, what would I do?
💫 How would people around me describe me in one sentence?
When you can answer to these with truth, with feelings and your deepest emotions, you’ll discover what you really cared about, what makes you, you. Be honest, don’t hold back and unlock the secrets to your own heart.
3. Visualize you
Picture the perfect you, the best version of yourself and your ideal life.
What’s the impact you’d want to leave behind?
Craft a purpose statement.
“I’m here in this world because __________ and I’m here to help others _______________“
This statement is your anchor, a reminder of your purpose and why you wake up each day.

Every night, spend some time doing this visualization exercise. Visualize how you can improve yourself. Think about your purpose and how you can help others. When you visualize helping others, you expand your own horizon.
💦 Living your why
Your “why” is more than just a reason.
It’s a way to live, act, and grow. When you’re connected to your purpose, you’ll find yourself energized. Tap into youself, tap into the wisdom of the great leaders in the world, tap into the energies of the universe.
Let your “why” become your way of life.
Self reflect, ask yourself powerful questions, visualize and live your vision.
