I found this article particularly useful because I'm about to start my junior year of college while committing to write consistently on Substack. Thanks for this!

Yup, you've got to find a flow and routine that works for you. Good luck!

Oh, I love the perspective shift towards "Anticipate chaos" combined with "Chaos adds layers to your work" - like anticipate it and work with it (not put too much energy into preventing and resolving it!).

Thanks so much, Arica!

haha I rest my case.

Thanks Fabienne. I see a pattern in writers - we are always in the middle of chaos.

I also see another pattern - good writers incorporate the chaos in their writing and make it stand out.

I think I am kind of leaning into this right now, but it's so good to have the reassurance!

A good reference point would be to follow those that you admire and want to emulate. Then you can get a constant source of inspiration.

I just keep pushing forward no matter what. Today, my birthday was a little slower pace, but I submitted a book and an ebook to KDP Amazon and beginning another one now.

Thanks for sharing AricaN!

Hey Mel, you're also part of the reason I keep pushing forward. Your achievements are inspiring, and I know those are built on hard work and effort.

Awww Thank you AricaN! So we all just have to keep pushing one another through inspiration. :-) My 4 year old daughter inspires me. Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI inspired me to build a One Person Billion Dollar Publishing business. Life ultimately inspires to give all that I have. Keep Succeeding AricaN!

Mel, I love that thought. Those who inspire us may not know us personally, but whatever good stuff they gave out are helping people in unknown ways. Your daughter inspires you, one day, she will inspire and get inspired by others too. I believe in a virtuous cycle.

AricaN, have you ever dropped a pebble in water and watched the ripples spread out endlessly? Its similar. Our inspiration, our love continue to ripple through space and time forever and ever. I saved a man's life in 2015. Can you imagine the never ending ripples that continue today because he is still with us? Even just a smile to a stranger can cause endless ripples. Even my liking and commenting on your posts & comments does the same. <3

That's really amazing! I don't know if I will ever get to save someone's life, but as long as I create a positive impact, I'm sending out my own ripples, hoping that it will touch others' lives, if not their life :)

In the next life, we may found out we saved so many lives. That smile to a stranger who might be depressed and even suicidal could very well save their life and we'll probably never know in this lifetime. :-)
