I love this. Reframing and altering your mindset is truly the key to change and growth. It will never happen unless we push and pull ourselves and sometimes kick our own behinds out of our complacency and comfort. Thank you, as always for your insight. Love, Virg

This really soared, Moon! I especially like “Identity as a verb.” That reframe from “I am” to “I’m becoming” feels small in language but massive as sort of a self-permission. I think many of us unconsciously protect an outdated identity because it feels safer than rewriting the script.

What you’re describing also ties into something I call the Identity Formation Loop. How we absorb, feel, and act based on inherited beliefs that get reinforced through inaction. Your five wings? They’re beautifully practical tools to break that loop.

One thing I’ve been exploring is how many of our identities come from an emotional survival instinct. We don’t just avoid risk. We avoid disappointment, shame, or being seen. Sometimes the first step isn’t action, it’s permission to feel uncomfortable as we act. I guess that’s really how wings are forged.

And I'm curious, how has your own mindset shifted, as you write pieces like this?
