The Kaleidoscope Project April Challenge: Roundup - When intent leads to goals and results
Shares from 11 writers in The Kaleidoscope Challenge
Intentions are the seeds of our reality. Every thought, every decision, every action begins with intent.
But intentions alone don’t guarantee outcomes. They must be aligned with consistent action and clear awareness. An intent to grow can lead to wisdom, or to ego, if left unchecked. An intent to protect can create safety, or control. The same intent, depending on execution, can lead to very different results.
That’s the topic of the April challenge hosted together with
Does your intent reveal things about yourself? Is your intent rooted in fear or courage? Is it serving truth, or feeding illusion? Is it moving you forward, or keeping you still?
Let’s see what the participants in the challenge has to say.
wrote a beautiful story with a real testament to the quiet power of heartfelt intention, and a dream comes true for him in the form of a surprise! His next story is about having a barrier between intention and manifestation and faith is the key to breaking it down.
has been a regular participant of the writing challenges, and her honest sharing about her journey from a ghostwriter to a serious writer here on substack is part of her discovery process of finding her voice, and the greatest authority on her intention… is right here.I love how creative
is in this post, with prose combined with intense intent, a thoughtful and emotionally resonant piece capturing the vulnerability of losing intention, and the redemptive clarity that returns when we realign with it. has always amazed me with her authentic voice and beautiful pictures of herself and the things she loved. She has inspired me more than once with her posts and this note has again worked its magic. Has instinct kept your writing real as well? kickstarted her challenge with a fire bright reply, then wrote a poem after my own heart, a creation out of wonder, then another poem on the Liberation of the Feminine, refreshing with raw honesty, and yet another for non-seduction.A wild horse, is that a synomnym for intent? This wonderful post by
brings to mind the conflict, the tension, the struggles and the peace between intent and alignment. Her note on burnout is certainly something we all can identify with~~, and then she brings us all on a exciting ride on the The Impossible Express, where we can exchange limitations for possibilities. And if you are the sandwich generation, this post is certainly enjoyable!I got to know a new writer this April with 5 interesting entries from
, from her post on reclaiming freedom, a vulnerable piece on perfectionism (my favourite topic), rich experience with transformation with three marriages and two immigrations, life seen through the days spent with a kid, and a note as well as reminder on why we write. Have we forgotten our purpose in writing? From
who had a change of career and life experience, sharing how intent is even the start of practising yoga but also applicable in all parts of our life with the 3 Pillars of Intention. I also admire the beautiful graphics in here.Another regular participant
wrote a powerful and grounded reflection on self-mastery where she equates intent with delayed gratification and excellent results. And of course my co-host
whose stories are always a delight to read. His posts speak of intent itself and we could learn a lot from his writing. We had a previous discussion on the merits of long or short posts, but regardless, every time I read his articles (trust me, they are worth re-reads over and over), I get new insights. You can read his April entries here:For myself, I had 3 entries this month, 1 note, 1 inspiration post and 1 post on writing. I had unintentionally been inactive, but these are still written with intent. I hope you like them:
And lastly:
Intent
You didn’t chase or force it.
You simply wanted, genuinely and deeply.
And life conspired in your favor, in the most unexpected way.
It’s moments like these that remind us:
When we align with intent with purpose, magic happens.
This is all very inspiring. It's worth pointing out that intent alone often isn't enough. For example, I intended to submit an entry in collaboration with @Sneaky Sara, but I may have forgotten about entering it into the spreadsheet. Oh well...
